Social Networking, Email and Web Communications in an Emergency - Stafford Kendall has been in charge of the strategies for a number of governmental, non-profit and corporate entities in Emergencies as varied as the recent earthquake in Chile, almost tsunami in Hawaii, radiation leaks, tense public contract negotiations, Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, a serial killer, and numerous political indictments (she\'s from Louisiana, afterall). Managing the message in a minute and a half is now the name of the game, and what you can stop immediately is worth its weight in advertising dollar. Stafford will present the most urgent online communications lessons when there\'s urgency to your message.

What Not to Web - The Web is still a new medium, and we’re adding accessories all of the time. Blogs, flash and interactive components are often mis-used, mis-applied and mis-directed. Stafford Kendall, of Covalent Logic, will conduct this seminar focused on design, content, navigation and technology advice (and examples) of what you shouldn’t do on the Web. Then, we’ll add a little classic advice that never goes out of style on how to try new trends without a virtual faux pas.

More than just a numbers game, greater influence is the goal, not necessarily more followers or fans. She began building online communities in 1995, and continues today as co-founder of the social media agency for Hilton Hotels, working with over 530 properties, in over 85 countries.
